A free POS for Sri Lankan shops

Bill customers, keep stock and see your sales from your phone. Make an account online and start selling in a few minutes. No card needed.

Most small shops in Sri Lanka still bill by hand or on a cash register that cannot tell them what sold. We built the Serendib POS for them. It is free to start, and it runs in the web browser, on a computer at the counter or on a phone.

What you can do on the Free plan

  • Bill at the counter. Scan a barcode or tap a product. Take cash, card or LankaQR.
  • Print or send the receipt. Print on a thermal printer, or send it to the customer on WhatsApp.
  • Keep your stock right. Every sale takes the item out of stock. Count the shop and fix the numbers when you need to.
  • Give credit to regular customers. See who owes you and record what they pay back.
  • See your day. Today's sales, profit and best sellers, on your phone, wherever you are.
  • Sell loose goods by weight. Read the barcode from a weighing scale label.

The Free plan is for one shop, two staff and up to 100 products. It shows the last 30 days of reports.

Start in a few minutes

  1. Go to pos.serendibitsolutions.com and give your email.
  2. Open the link we send you, name your shop and set a password.
  3. Add your products one by one, or upload them from an Excel sheet.
  4. Make your first sale.

You do not need a card to sign up, and there is nothing to install.

Need a printer or a scanner?

We keep thermal printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers in stock at Homagama, and they work with the POS. See them in our shop, or ask us on WhatsApp which one suits your counter.
